Through this, Denise and I found out that Duran were coming again. I wanted to go to them all, but my job prevented it. We planned on San Fransisco, LA, and Vegas, but it turned out that my car needed pretty much everything, so we had to cancel the SF and Vegas ones then. We met another Duran fan through the internet who lived in San Diego, Elaine, and after trying to decide on fly/drive, finally decided on drive. She let us go with her, which was really nice of her, and Denise and I helped pay for gas. We drive up to LA and get there maybe an hour before the concert. Elaine has a chance to get backstage, so she waits outside and comes in right before Duran come on. We tried to sneak lower down than we were because there was no one in the front rows, and it worked until I think the 2nd song, but unfortunately the people finally came, so security had to force us back up. Elaine found another empty seat and went for it, but when Denise and I tried to, we were sent to our own seats. We had tried to look for Misty and Co. before the show, but couldn't pick them out, so we had to wait until after. The show itself was AMAZING. I was instantly in love with the new songs, and they had some problems with Nick's keyboards for Notorious, so they went right into HE. I LOVED SIMON'S SHIRT!!! Some of the crowd were kinda lame, sitting down for the new stuff mostly, but there were alot of people who didn't. We must be kinda cursed by this, because we were right by the left speakers again, and after the show was over, I had problems hearing correctly. But it was worth it. Simon was perfect, and the rest of Duran were too. And this was the first time we were brave enough to sneak in cameras! YAY! After the show, Elaine went to meet Vegas Sarah to get backstage and met the band. She got her picture with the members of the band, which was really awesome. Meanwhile Denise and I went to GLADSTONES to meet up with Misty and a bunch of other people. It was really cool, but I was still overwhelmed from the concert, so was a bit out of it. I couldn't believe our seats were that close! Well, they closed GLADSTONES not too long after we got there unfortunately, so we all waited for Elaine and Sarah to come out. Finally they did, and we decided that it would be better if I drove...
