We picked up several new Duran photos from STAR WORLD, and then I decided to go and check out the line at around 12 or 1230. Sure enough...there were people there. So, I decided that we were staying there for the rest of the time. I'm not sure Denise was too thrilled with that idea of waiting in the heat of the day again, but I didn't care. I wanted to be as close to Simon as possible. Finally they let us into the show. And we Denise and I were in the 1st row of the bleachers by the stage. I put on my HE shirt again to see if Simon would remember me..and we proceeded to wait for Duran to come on. It was really interesting being in a tv studio. And seeing Jay Leno in person was pretty neat too. Finally Duran came on, and they did SOMEONE ELSE NOT ME. I think Simon saw me..I hope he did! Then they talked to Jay, and then it was over. Wow that was fast...so we waited outside. Eventually, we went around to the side gate. We even moved the car so we could see where they were headed maybe. As we were in the car, I looked up and saw Jay Leno in his car waiting for the light to change. He saw us, and waved...and we waved back. Cool. Then, we got out. It was only Denise and I there by now...some other people there had left...but not us. Then we see this limovan come to the gate. It slows to a near stop...but goes on...and we wonder if perhaps it really was Duran in there or what. But we wait for a few minutes...just in case. Finally we determined that it WAS in fact Duran...but by this time, they were gone... (to go to a party at the Playboy Mansion by the way) so sadly I drove us again to San Diego...and wondered the whole way why the heck I didn't think it WAS them...and how hard it would be to get into the Playboy Mansion, and was I crazy for going anywhere without doing everything in my power and more to find out how to find Simon. But in the end driving along the 5 Freeway back back to San Diego, I kept wondering how long we had to wait to see them again. I cursed the fact that Denise had to go to work at 6am the next morning, and the fact that I had to go to work and be anywhere without Simon...
