Mexican cuisine has always been popular in the States and is now gaining popularity in Europe and Asia. In an average fast-food joint, the food is usually Tex-Mex, which is mixture of Texan and Mexican cooking. For eg, Chilli Con Carne came from Texas and not Mexico. Mexican food is warm, colourful and can be 'explosive' at times, due to the variety of chillis used.
