Brethren;
I would like to thank everyone who attended our January regular communication.
It is my intention that our business meeting start at 7:30 P.M., and conclude no later than 9:00 P.M., when possible.
I extended an invitation to every brother to come and help initiate two new candidates on January 27th. This is the fourth Thursday of the month. We will have a meal served at 7:00, and open the lodge for degree work at 7:30.
Wor/Bro. Jackson from Unanimity Lodge will be giving the lecture.
I look forward to having you join me in fellowship at this degree.

Thoughts From The Senior Warden

I have taken it upon myself to attempt to increase attendance at our lodge meetings and to bring new members to our fraternity. I spoke in January with two men, both masons, from other areas, now living here in our community. They had a bad experience in a local neighboring lodge state to me “ They were not friendly and we were not welcome. We’ll never go back.” I invited them to join us and gave them our schedule of meetings.
When we have visitors, lets make them feel at home in the friendly Harmony way. You brothers can make a difference. Take the challenge of bringing a lodge member to the next meeting. We will double and triple out attendance and strengthen our bond to the community.
Invite a brother that you may know from another lodge. Let’s make him welcome. He will come back.

As you see we in effect lost 10 members last year. Fortunately, we are busy with 6 candidates progressing through their degree work. Dues for 2005 are $54.00 and are due and payable. Please remit your dues as soon as possible if you have not already done so. It becomes increasingly difficult to maintain the Lodge with our membership decreasing and costs increasing. Of the 175 members of Harmony Lodge #22 approximately 98 are required to pay annual dues. The remainder is Life Members or Perpetual Life Members. Also be sure to keep current with happenings around Harmony Lodge # 22 and the 4th Masonic District by visiting scmasonsc-4thdist.com.
