Site News

6/10/2005 -- There is now a link for Airwolf on DVD on the Where'd our '80s TV Shows Go? page (dude, look down for the link).

4/24/2005 -- The '80s TV and Where'd our '80s TV Shows Go? pages have been updated with current info and now include links to get some of the programs on DVD. Also, some shit has been moved to another server to cut down on time-out screens. What do you owe me? Your daughter.

2/5/2005 -- Way more people were asking me about Vomitron than anything else on the site.  Since Vomitron has recently re-emerged, it gets a new link on the Music page.

12/28/2003 -- A new Interesting-Ass '80s Picture of the Week-and-a-Half has been installed. Night of the Living '80s Radio is closed.

11/24/2003 -- MP3.com is taking a shit, so soon we will be losing some music related features of this page. Replacements are being sought after.  There's a new IAEPOTWAAH.  That's it.

11/16/2003 -- Only news this time.  My MP3.com Radio Station has more shit and I have begun the task of cataloging my 1986-89 TNT, USHRA and independent monster truck footage for the '80s monster truck page.

11/11/2003 -- In nature, only the strong survive.  The same is true at Night of the Living '80s, and the Links page just wasn't pulling its weight.  Kapow.  Also, you get a new IAEPOTWAAH (I couldn't decide between Oregon Trail and ultra-'80s pro poker player Scotty Nguyen, so I flipped a Susan B. Anthony coin. Scotty waits.)  The Current Music Page and the Hair Page have also changed to reflect my participation in a band.  Most of it isn't '80s, except for 1980's "Heaven and Hell".

9/28/2003 -- Sometimes, people lose track of their favorite '80s stars.  Life in These Living '80s is there to help with several news flashes.  The IAEPOTWAAH is fresh and the Late '70s Music page was cleaned up a little.  The Gordon's Metal and More mp3.com radio station was about as rickety as the Diceman's MTV career, so that got an update, too.

9/14/2003 -- Yes, it's been some time since the last update.  Some things have happened that affect the site and its legacy.  As was first revealed during a press conference at the Night of the Living '80s Yahoo Group, reasons for non-updatage are: 1. I graduated college, which took up some spare time. 2. I started a Black Sabbath cover band called Spiral Architect which
has been jamming and on the road quite a bit.  3. Woman trouble. 4. Bottles and things contained in them. 5. Dial-up Internet access over the summer. 6. Preparing for graduate school and moving. 7. Rebuilding my 250R ATV. 8. Drag racing and working on the IROC.  The P.O.S. (not to be confused with P.O.D. [well, maybe]) counter broke (again), so some spells have been cast over the main page.  Also, my
Kramer Flying V, which is very popular with site visitors (for good reason) has had all of the stripes and stickers removed, received a less cheesy strap and had an EMG-81 pickup fitted into the bridge position. There's a new IAEPOTWAAH, a new article on VideoDiscs, a quick hair update and some changes to the IROC and it's page.  Finally, there's a chance that I may be returning to the airwaves soon. THE HAMMER WILL FALL ON YOU!!!!!!!!

12/25/2002 -- Another page. Grand Theft Auto Vice City: An Inside Look is up in Life in These Living '80s.

12/7/2002 -- The Early '90s Sucked Page certainly looked like a butthole. Not just because of the color scheme, but because the alignments were all wrong. Also, none of the links worked. Those problems have been rectified. I just took the GMAT, so I'm stuck in fancy-talk mode. Please excuse me by examining the updated Current Music Page.

12/6/2002 -- Since things have been slow at Night of the Living '80s, there is a new IAEPOTWAAH earlier than usual in order to make up for it. The hair page also has some new stuff.

11/29/2002 -- I put up a new Interesting-Ass '80s Picture of the Week-and-a-Half. Also, watch the site very closely because something fucking gigantic is about to happen.

10/30/2002 -- Some key pages have been de-porked, including the '80s Cars, Music, TV and Music pages. No IAEPOTWAAH.

10/3/2002 -- The IAEPOTWAAH, IROC Page, and The Hair Page all get updates this time.

9/19/2002 -- There's a new Interesting-Ass Eighties Picture of the Week-and-a-Half. You know where to find it. Also, the page coding is getting cleaner due to my better knowledge of HTML. The IROC Page got even more funner.

9/14/2002 -- I just wanted to remind you that "You Belong to the City" by Glen Frye is a fucking awesome song because I'm really fucked up right now.

9/2/2002 -- The '80s Links page is up, the IAEPOTWAAH is new, and I updated the FAQ.

8/1/2002 -- G.I. Joe was on Cartoon Network last night at one in the morning. You might want to check into it.

7/24/2002 -- I've got a new IAEPOTWAAH, on time no less!

7/16/2002 -- I made a special CD just for IROC owners on the IROC page.

7/14/2002 -- There's a new page in the Life in these Living '80s section, "Where's Our '80s TV Shows Go?" and a new IAEPOTWAAH. I have no smart-ass comments at this time.

7/7/2002 -- I was always yapping about the hair page, and now it exists. My appearance is changing for the metaler. There's been an almost negligible change to the Gordon's IROC-Z of Death page on top of that.

7/2/2002 -- You can just shut your fucking mouth about the dearth of updates. I interviewed Jon Schaffer of Iced Earth, built a new Riders section in the Early '90s MX Gear Hate Page, and put up a new Interesting-Ass Eighties Picture of the Week-and-a-Half.

4/25/2002 -- New IAEPOTWAAHs are cool.  So are Arcade pages that are multigenerational.

4/19/2002 -- Some shit that sucks has befallen Night of the Living '80s.  Suck #1: The IAEPOTWAAH will not be up for a few more days because my missing debit card has imprisoned my cash at a bank far, far away. I ran out of checks, too.  "What the hell does this have to do with IAEPOTWAAHs?" you ask.  You can't smoke crack with matches and you can't develop pictures without dinero. Suck #2: Gordon's Classic Metal is broken.  Suck #3: This one sucks for you but is cool for me. I started another band and the jamming is consuming Night of the Living '80s time.  Some good things did happen; I discovered that the IROC-Z of Death already has an adjustable fuel pressure regulator which saves me some cash and work down the road. The page has been updated accordingly.

3/31/2002 -- A somewhat fruitful spring break of work on my IROC has allowed me to make changes to the Gordon's IROC-Z of Death page, which is the real reason that I work on it. IAEPOTWAAH has to hold off until tomorrow.

3/21/2002 -- The Floyd Rose series in the IAEPOTWAAH wraps up with me beating some whammy bar ass.

3/10/2002 -- I rewrote some of the stuff on the main page to de-old the information kept there. Kip Winger has been left alone.

3/9/2002 -- Eagle Snacks were so rad that they get their own page. And there's a new IAEPOTWAAH, with Floyd Rose rocking.

2/23/2002 -- My God, the 22nd already? This IAEPOTWAAH is starting to become work!

2/17/2002 -- One of the Abbot brothers has been added to the current IAEPOTWAAH. Also, if you're in the Portsmouth, Ohio area tonight I'm going to be on 94.9 FM WZIO starting at about 7 p.m. What am I going to talk aboot and play? Old metal of course!

2/15/2002 -- The State Flags Page was a true HTML representation of an ass. Luckily, you have to look at that ass no more because I redid it.

2/12/2002 -- What's new besides the IAEPOTWAAH? Nothing, because I'm on my way to the bar.

1/30/2002 -- Another IAEPOTWAAH showcases the Pontiac Fiero and penguin fun.

1/27/2002 -- The Today Page has been fired. The Current Music Page, The Cars Page, and The R/C Page have been relocated to the Other Crap Page. The R/C Page has been improved, while the other two are, uh, streamlined.

1/20/2002 -- Fun Stuff from the '80s that the Government Took Away from Us Part II: Lawn Darts. Only at the IAEPOTWAAH.

1/19/2002 -- Let me tell you something: Night of the Living '80s Radio now has a human voice. I have been awarded my own radio show on my campus radio station. Gordon's Classic Metal can be reached on the internet on the radio page. I am a hard ass.

1/10/2002 -- Another IAEPOTWAAH marks the beginning of the Fun Stuff from the '80s that the Government Took Away from Us series. There are a couple of snazzy new logos hanging around the site.

1/4/2002 -- Finally, you can find out what my IROC is like. I am so fucking '80s that other '80s website maintainers might as well just quit.

12/31/2001 -- Major League Baseball and classic metal come together in another IAEPOTWAAH.

12/24/2001 -- The main page has been messed with once again.

12/20/2001 -- There have been a lot of requests for more NES-type stuff on the page. I figured, "Hell, I've got NESticle, let's make some kids happy." The result is the new IAEPOTWAAH. The IAEPOTWAAH archive has been revamped for additional gnarlyness.

12/10/2001 -- There's lots of shiny newness in this update. Many pages have been tidied up and new descriptions written. On all TV pages, I have added "Jumped the Shark" times so that you can find out when your favorite shows got shitty. Hell, even the main page has been messed with. The FAQ was updated, and of course, there's a new IAEPOTWAAH.

11/28/2001 -- Hear 'N Aid!

Possible Area Rename

Charismatic guitar god Gordon is said to be mulling over changing the name of the Interesting-Ass Eighties Picture of the Week-and-a-Half to the Interesting-Ass Eighties Picture of Whenever-I-Fucking-Get-Around-to-It. There's a new one though.

New Computer to Take Night of the Living '80s to the "Next Level", or Something.

Sexual athlete Gordon has just bought a new computer which has more balls than the Celtics locker room. Soon, there will be a video capture card/device fitted to it that will completely change the dynamics of Night of the Living '80s.

Savor the Fixed Images, Because it Won't Be Long Until they Fuck Up Again

That's right.

Horrible Calamity Brings on the Heartbreak for The Early '90s MX Gear Hate Page

Disaster struck earlier this month when automobile inventor Gordon's parents maliciously donated a stack of invaluable early '90s motocross magazines to their church while he was away at college. Luckily enough, as a built-in punishment, the stack of magazines also contained pornography, embarrassing the 62-year-old couple. Unfortunately, that still does not help the page, which is in danger of reduced updates.

Yahoo! Rumored to be Converting the Night of the Living '80s Yahoo Club Into a Yahoo! Group

Keep your eyes glued to the site for updates.

Weather: Shitty

Stocks: Down

Sports: Your team lost

Obituaries: Mostly old people

I need to stop reading The Onion

10/7/2001 (again) -- God dammit!! I just learned that the Night of the Living Eighties Entertainment System wasn't working on most pages. I took the cartridge out, blew it out, and jammed another cartridge in on top of it. That made it work, just like a real NES. I am also in the process of fixing the missing pictures.

10/7/2001 -- Are you fuckin' ready?!!!!! New at Life in these Living '80s: Full House: Brilliant Satire or Dogshit?

10/3/2001 -- If you haven't figured out how to reach the IAEPOTWAAH yet, you are missing out on ultra-tubular shit like the latest update.

9/25/2001 -- To prove my point even more, I added another possible metal album cover featuring Skeletor.

9/23/2001 -- I fucking suck. There have been no Interesting-Ass Eighties Pictures of the Week-and-a-Half because: A) I'm lazy B) I moved back down to school C) I bought a KLR 650 D) Making rock and roll music E) Beer & Liquor F) TV G) ATV: Offroad Fury H) Class. To make up for it, I have made TWO (2) IAEPOTWAAH updates this time. Revenge is yours.

9/4/2001 -- Put-In-Bay shenanigans (booze) last weekend and Easyriders Harley Rodeo zaniness (booze, bikes, titties) this weekend kicked the IAEPOTWAAAH update in the junk, forcing it to be held off until today. The scariest '80s car ever will be waiting for you there now, though. BTW, why haven't you fux been signing the Aggrobook?

8/22/2001 -- Emphasis has been taken off of the Today Page by insulting other decades on the main page. And, since today has a date ending in 2, there is a new Interesting-Ass Eighties Picture of this week-and-a-half. I'm going to see W.A.S.P. on the seventh. Things are looking up.

8/12/2001 -- Madness reigns until the 22nd because The Transformers have taken over the IAEPOTWAAH.

8/10/2001 -- There is a new album review in the Life in These Living '80s section. Gorgar has been added to the Arcade page, as well.

8/9/2001 -- The Night of the Living '80s Entertainment System has just arrived. Navigation just got a whole lot flashier.

8/2/2001 -- New mini pics on the Early '90s MX Gear Hate Page. Did you know that the State Flags Page was sneakily updated a while back? Did you even know there was such a thing? Plus, !

7/24/2001 -- New IAEPOTWAAH.

7/12/2001 -- Interesting-Ass '80s  Picture of the Week-and-a-Half update.

7/2/2001 -- New section, bitches! The Interesting-Ass '80s Picture of the Week-and-a-Half is ready to make your rods and cones all screwed up.

6/29/2001 -- I'm starting to really like highlighting things on my pages. Some pages have been changed accordingly. The FAQ has been updated. Also, there is bad news over at the Metal Church camp. Read about it here.

6/26/2001 -- My Early '90s MX Gear Hate Page explodes with a new section, MX Inspired Casuals. The ugliness will leave you slack-jawed.

5/30/2001 -- The Today Page has undergone a facelift. Why? Because it was an eyesore.

5/23/2001 -- Feast your eyes upon the new pictures on the main page. A treat for the senses! As a tasty bonus, the pictures are links!

5/19/2001 -- Want to hear some of the bands that I can't shut up about? Why not visit my MP3.COM Radio Station? That is, unless you are a BIG PUSSY!

5/8/2001 -- Everybody hates chain letters. Instead of coping with your rage by using your Suburban to beat up on a Fiero out on the highway, just look at the new '80s Chain Letter Page.

5/6/2001 -- Attack! Bullets are flying, people are dying, the Early '90s MX Gear Hate Page has been turned loose!

3/19/2001 -- There will be no updates for the next two weeks. Spring break is here, and I will be away from the computer that has Night of the Living '80s on it until the break is over. Radness is on hiatus, dude!

3/10/2001 -- Boom! Like a bolt of lightning, proprietary content arrives at Night of the Living '80s. With the advent of a new scanner, my old D.A.R.E. book has been scanned and the D.A.R.E. page is up in the all new Life in These Living '80s section. Work may also now commence on the Early '90s MX Gear Hate Page.

3/5/2001 again -- I just discovered that the '80s TV and '80 Music pages were pieces of shit! They had tons of broken links and missing images, so I fixed 'em.

3/5/2001 -- There is a  new '80s Corvettes link in the '80s Cars area. Click on the 1985 'Vette picture for 84to96.net. Fresh!

3/2/2001 -- Do you know how incredible it is that the Links page is now up? Find out.

2/27/2001, not 10 minutes later... I found a counter. Rejoice!

2/27/2001 -- Counter wasn't counting, so I removed it. Really, the most important feature of the counter is the counting, not just having a big "1" where the counter should be. I'll get a real one and put it up. BTW, the Guestbook is working again, and it is so boss that its name has been changed to the Aggrobook(BMX) Plus: A lot of the links in the '70s section now work, and the arcade page is in full rage mode.

2/17/2001 -- Yes, I haven't worked on the site in ages.  Too much motorized mayhem and class work have taken their toll on Night of the Living '80s. NO MORE! I redesigned the entire site, added some extra things, and fixed more broken shit.  Hopefully, it doesn't look like this anymore, because it sure did before.  That link leads to a section of www.seanbaby.com, a fucking hilarious site.

12/25/1999 -- The Other Crap page in the Today section is up. Take a look.

12/15/1999 -- Started the Night of the Living '80s Yahoo! Club. Sounds added to the eighties TV page. Now you can hear the theme songs to The Dukes of Hazzard and The Transformers (Pssst --These were taken down a long time ago)). The guestbook is down again. I have resubmitted the guestbook to Yahoo, and triple checked the HTML, but that hasn't fixed it. That worked last time, but it may be a while until it is back up.

12/11/1999 -- Added some more pictures here and there. The R/C page in the Today section is now up.

12/8/1999 -- Took down the old Night of the Living '80s at www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Bungalow/2478. I fixed the Sign Guestbook problem, although after signing it, you can't click on the link on the "Thank you for signing my guestbook" page that says "Return to my homestead or view my guestbook" In order to view the guestbook, (Secret: that link now leads to the old guestbook, Phase II) you have to click on the link on the main '80s page. Also, this page was added to Yahoo! yesterday. It has had 100 hits in the last 24 hours. Pretty cool.

12/3/1999 -- I made the front page look cooler. Removed Link Exchange banner and Geoguide. Added nifty COLOR background to '80s Movies page.

7/14/1999 -- I added a guestbook and a Geoguide. Be sure to leave your mark on history by writing crap down in the little boxes.

7/12/1999 -- Partial redesign of site. There are now separate sections for all categories on the '70s and '80s pages. Many link fixes. New section called "Believe it or Not, Today Doesn't Suck".

7/11/1999 -- Site moves to present address.

11/27/1998 -- Small fixes.

6/24/1998 -- Small tweaks.

6/2/1998 -- Counter added.

5/7/1998 -- Site goes up for first time.

The eighties aren't news, they're Olds.
