You have 14 buttons on a D-pad, most real time strategy games would suck those up in no time. But Warzone 2100 has a innovative interface that works, also you can issue orders, and builds from in the middle of combat. With an analogue D-pad, this interface plays very smoothly, I have been told better than a mouse.
Great 3D landscapes, designing your own units, carrying bases and units over between missions, and impressive AI make this a great game.
Gripes? I guess not having a skirmish mode is disappointing, and the FMV sequences are barely above average. Don't like the time limit, sure for missions that require you to achieve something before X happens, but its not always appropriate.

While the game is loading, hold Start on controller 2. Keep it held until the Main Menu appears. Now press L1, R1, R2, L1, Select, Start at the Main Menu. This will unlock campaigns 2 and 3 and activate cheat mode.
Now enter these cheats on Controller 2 during gameplay...
