Day 33 - Toronto

Saturday, June 14 1997 "Happy Anniversairy"

I thought I was up before the birds (5:15 AM) but Dad was already up and gone for coffee! It's our anniversairy today. 22 years!

Today was Market Day with Georgia and Robyn. We started off at St. Lawrence Market! What a cool place! I loved it! Just like Granville Island. Fruits, vegetables, specialty stuff, crafts, the odd pig's head, art, jewelry, etc. Bought nibblies (artichokes, peppers, olives, bread, etc. for later).

Then it was off to Kitchener/Waterloo for St. Jacob's Mennonite Market. Another eye-full. Honey, fruit, baking, crafts, you name it! Then into the town of St. Jacobs for more. We took a beautiful drive home through the rolling Ontario farm and countryland. Really pretty.

Our supper was BBQ'd Mennonite sausage, ("Golden" - as per this hippie stained-glass craftsman I'd spoken to at St. Lawrence Market), corn & salad. The sausage flavors were apricot, Octoberfest, spinach,and honey/garlic. Wow! Awesome stuff! This is just so much fun.
