My Haiku

Haiku is a form of poetry which is very popular in Japan.

Haiku is a thoughtful form of poetry that symbolizes nature, color, season, contrasts and surprises. Haiku has 3 lines and 17 syllabes arranged into lines of  5, 7 and 5 syllables.

Haiku relates or suggests a moment, feeling, impression or event of a truth of nature. It's like a snapshot of some specific moment in the world of nature.

More than inspiration, it's need meditation, effort and perception to compose a real Haiku.

The sky on fire
Flames reaching to the heavens
Glories are proclaimed

Alone and empty

Standing in the darkened skies
Waiting for the dawn

The sun's dying rays
Bid us all a fond farewell
Until tomorrow

Sunset slowly comes
The ending of this long day
Dawn begins anew

Tiny fae fluttering
Sprinkling all her fae dust
Blessings on her friends

She reaches arms outstretched
Imploring the gods above
Release from her tomb

Earth and water make
An alliance at the shore
An uneasy truce

Pink clouds float above
A message for tomorrow
A good day ahead.

Winter has broken
Its hold on frozen mountains
Now spring brings forth life.

Rocks, waves, sky and clouds
Nature's calling card is found
Wildly calling me.

Sun's rays filtered in
Leaving lines across my face
Beckons me awake

Cloud swept sky at dawn
Chasing away the long night
Ready for today

Reflections mirrored
The world is up-side down
Life is just mirage
