Seventh day in Japan

A Trip Downtown with Tsukiko

Today was a rainy day all over the Kanto area (which include Tokyo). Our original plans to go hiking in the mountains were postponed and we decided to visit museums in central Tokyo. We want to spend the day with our good friend, Tsukiko.

Here are the three sisters on the train heading to the Imperial Palace station.

They are waiting in front of the Museum of Modern Art for Tsukiko. But the museum was closed for remodeling and Tsukiko wasn't there.

We could find Tsukiko (right) at the Arts and Crafts museum next door. Here we are eating our rice ball lunch in Kitanomaru park.

After lunch we found a cafeteria in the park where we could get something to drink.

After lunch we went to the oragami factory and store. You can see the oragami paper drying over our heads.

The large pot containing paper dye is being heated over a gas burner.
