Ninth day in Japan

Nagano Prefecture

More pictures from our day of touring around the Nagano prefecture

At this shrine there were many baby Jizos

The shrine is for unborn (a.k.a. aborted) children.

Jizo represents the protector of children

Parents who have lost children this way come to this temple.

This is Kitamoko Kannon, a sister temple to Zenkoji in Nagano. The two temples face one another but are separated by many miles and mountains

This interesting tree at Kitamoko Kannon represents a Japanese love story.
