Fourteenth day in Japan

A rest day at home

Today we stayed home to rest. We took advantage of the opportunity to work on the indoor fountain.

Oto-san is cutting some lengths of bamboo to add to the fountain. Last winter he gathered these in the mountains.

Yoshiko and Oto-san are tying a cluster of bamboo sections together and arranging them in the fountain bowl.

They are happy with the finished result.

Yoshiko added some green leaves for a final touch.

Yoshiko is making us some coffee. She is using Michie's coffee grinder.

Oto-san is relaxing, waiting for some tea.
