This is the Daibuhtsu (Big Buddha). Now days they charge 200 yen to get in here. The place is full of foreigners. |

At the Hasedera Temple there was also a shrine to unborn babies. The smallest of the baby jizos is 20,000 yen. Shown here are two larger ones. |
Shown here are some of the small and medium sized jizos. Each parent who lost a child before birth has their own baby jizo. They also bring it toys and clothing sometimes. |
