Went to Air League presentation tonight. They gave a box of chocolates to each of the ladies who aren't in the committee but helpe out at the review; I was one of them. Ray's parents aren't trying out their caravan this weekend now...too wet in Oberon. A pity, as I was looking forward to some time by ourselves.
13th December, 1999
Stressed out today about where we are going to live after the wedding, and Raymond not supporting me whenever his mum suggests we ming their house while they go caravanning around Australia. Cried myself to sleep over it last night. Will have a good talk with Ray about it later on this week when I can see him...can't stand talking about important stuff over the phone!
14th December, 1999
Dad's 48th birthday today. Gave him his new watch from Ray and myself. Went to Lavinia's and had a talk with her and did some cross-stitching. Somehow she always avoids questions about the weddings.
Found out Ray gets the week between Christmas and New Years Day off, as well as Christmas Eve. It will be so great to have some time with Ray that isn't just a weekend. Plus he really needs a break from work, as he's getting bored and stressed about it. We'll also have the 2 weeks in January down at Ulladulla at the beach.
16th December, 1999
Made our traditional family Christmas cake today. It's made to my great grand nana's recipe, and is delicious!
Ray came over tonight, as he was anxious about me getting upset Sunday night. He has a marvellous way of getting information out of me...he tickles me till I give in. I feel alot happier now, and enjoyed watching TV in his company.
We're going out to the movies to see the new James Bond tomorrow night, and have another Christmas thing for my uncle Steve and his family on Saturday, as well as karoke and dinner with mum and dad for their birthdays on Saturday night. Working out to be a very busy weekend. At least school holidays start tomorrow night!
17th December, 1999
Got my hair cut this morning. Donna, who usually does my hair, wasn't in, so Angie did it. Showed her the picture of my dress and bridemaids dresses and discussed what I'd do with it for the wedding.
She suggested I have a trial in February and then another one a few weeks before the wedding (just in case I change my mind). I've decided to try the hairstyle picture with the tiara that has blue bits in it.
If I don't like it in February, I'll have plenty of time to look for a different one!
Showed them pictures of my tiara and told them I had a veil to go on as well, and they seemed to think the hairstyle would work. Showed them pictures of Ray as well.
So exciting thinking about the hairstyles! Just have to figure out what to do with the girls noe. Only 9 and a half months left!
21st December, 1999
Today Lavinia was meant to have her Nutrimetics make-over for her wedding, but she called the girl up last night, and she seemed to have completely forgotten about. Said her car had broken down. She hadn't bothered notifying Lavinia.
It's now re-booked for January 4th.
