Had my hair done this morning in a half upstyle. Ray liked it so much, I'm going to use it as my reserve hairstyle for the wedding for if the other one doesn't work out.
Went to the wedding of Nancy and George today. Big Italian/Maltese affair. Lavinia Micheal were giving Ray cold looks all night, and made him feel very uncomfortable, so I wasn't enjoying it much either. Forgot to take their present in, so we'll have to give it to them later.

Picked up my friend Patty from the airport tonight. She's down in Sydney for the weekend. Was so good to catch up with her...I haven't seen her for 4 years! She said she is most certainly coming to the wedding, and gave her approval of Raymond ;-)

This morning we took Trent and Marc out to Windsor to get their suits fitted. They were very happy that I wasn't making them wear "those wussy cravats things".  They are wearing Kentucky ties, and look quite good in the dark blue vests. Put deposits down on the suits.
Then we met Anita in Penrith to buy the material for the bridesmaid dresses. Thank goodness the sales girl there knew the difference between embodiery threads and others...we didn't, and almost bought the wrong one!

Went up to see mum and dad today. I miss seeing them all the time! Took the bridesmaid dress material up for safe keeping. Besides, that's where I'll be making them.
Went to the club for dinner with them, and Nana and Margy. Nana asked how my new job has been. Told them about the budgie we rescued, and we found out Margy now has a cat.  Showed Nana and Margy a sample of the dress colour.

Ray had to go to work today, for the GST, so I came up to mum's and sewed up a rough version of the bridesmaid dress in calico and scraps I had around the house. Didn't put the zipper in, but it looks very nice. Wouldn't mind making myself one as an evening dress :-)

We went to see St Mary's Band Club expo today. Was smaller than last year and very disappointing. That could be because we practically have everything organised though! Our photograper and limo were there again. The limo place had a colour brochure this year...our one is just on green paper :-(
First time Ray and I have been shopping for groceries together today, seeing as his parents have gone on a trip with their caravan for 2 months. They left on Wednesday.

3rd June, 2000

Ray and I were up early this morning to pick up the display car for the raffle tickets Air League was selling at the Blacktown festival today. Then we were helping out with the sausage sizzle. Ray had the warm job, cooking onions (which we'd peeled on Friday night...contact lenses are helpful!). I was serving and taking money, up the other end of the stall and was freezing!!!
We went to karoke for a short while, as we were so tired from working on our feet all day. Pete was showing us the brochure for the new P&O cruise ship that starts in November. He wants to go on a cruise next Easter, and as Ray and Douglas were with him on the last one, he wants them to come along again.

4th June, 2000

Visited mum and dad again.  We cleaned my room up, and then came back and cleaned Ray's house.
