Set off this morning to see about getting my current mobile cancelled and buy a new one.
We got to the shopping car park, and the falcon's handbrake cable decided to snap. So we cut shopping short and only got my phone. Then we went and bought a new cable and spent a bit over an hour replacing it. I helped by holding the torch...well I don't know much about cars!
We went and visited his dad in hospital, who is getting depresses as he's bored as can be!
Had a headache all day, but I decided we could still go to karoke for a few hours, as I feel like we're letting Douglas down. We're the only social life he gets at the moment. Sang 'Mamma Mia' with Douglas. Was fun.

This morning we went to Parklea markets and picked up the cherub punch to replace the one that broke last weekend. Also looked at sugared almonds and bought some foil covered chocolate hearts.
Next we went to Spotlight and got tulle circles with gold edging for the bonbonierre, and little ivory and gold roses.
Visited Ray's dad again. He was brighter today. Finished creating our invitations and RSVP cards. Will have to print up the envelopes at my place, as the laser isn't doing them at the moment.

Bought sugared almonds this morning after I left Ray's.
Ray called up to day he has booked us a dancing lesson at a place in Castle Hill, where the studio is at their house. What a darling fiance!
Still feeling rather stressed out.

Seven months to go!!! It can't come soon enough.
Going to my cousin Stacie's wedding on Thursday. Hope the weather fines up a bit. It's been raining and cold, and I don't have any formal cold weather clothes!

9th March, 2000

Got my hair done for Stacie's wedding this morning, and couldn't believe how much the weather had changed. So warm and sunny! A beautiful day for a wedding!!!
The ceremony was out in the gardens at St John of God. All the guys were dressed up in their suits. Stacie arrived on Uncle Brian's arm, and cousin Callie as her flowergirl. She had a strapless dress with a tulle skirt, and was borrowing her father's hankie at least twice before he gave her away. It was a beautiful ceremony, and we blew bubbles at the end.
Then there was the cocktail reception at The Richmond Restaurant. Lovely! There were the usual speeches (Uncle Brian did so well!) and dad is threatening that his speech is going to be really short at mine; "About bloody time". I'm sure he's only saying that to stir me (at least I hope that's the case!)
We listened to Carlos' brother play guitar and sing for us. Then the cake was cut and they had the bridal waltz to "it had to be you". I missed Raymond at that point, as I don't like dancing on my own.
They had the bouquet toss and garter throw, and the bride and groom decided to stay till the music finished, as they were having so much fun dancing.
Was starting to get a headache from my hairstyle when I got home. It had 52 bobby pins in it, and SO much hairspray that I couldn't brush it out! Wonder how I'll hope on the wedding day? Probably wouldn't be a good idea taking headache tablets and then drinking wine!
