We selected our rings at Angus and Coote, Blacktown, today. Mine is gold with a single diamond set in it, and Ray has a two tone gold one. They should be in store in 2 weeks time. I'm so excited to have chosen our rings!
I've finished my dragon cross-stitch and can now get it framed, Ray is begging to have it for his own...he'll just have to wait.

Our pre-anniversary today; one year till the big day!!!
Met Lavinia to go pay more off on my dress, but she decided to bring along Micheal. I like him, but sometimes I'd just prefer it to be us girls. Oh well!
Caught train to Parramatta. Paid half off my dress and they took the measurements to order it (comes from America). Said it should be in by February. Then went and paid tiara off and finally got to show it to Lavinia.
Had morning tea in a cafe - chocolate chip pancakes! YUM.
Then I decided to look at lingerie for ideas. Went into Bras'n'Things by myself (Lavinia stayed out with Micheal) and found the ladies to be very helpful. Found a torsellete in ivory lace that I liked, with matching knickers, and tried it on. They made sure it was the right size, and it looked so perfect. Decided to buy it then and there. Lavinia didn't seem too excited about it.
Ray came up tonight with a box of chocolates to celebrate our pre-anniversary. I love him so!

Had a look in Parklea Markets today, looking for a stationery shop recommended in the forum at i-do.com.  It was a wonderful shop. Such a range! And it will be much cheaper than other stuff we have seen. Less than $100 for everything is much better than $300 for just the invitation.
Think we'll wait until after Christmas to buy things though. Still plenty of time.
Also spotted some floating candles which I wish to use in the table decorations at the reception.

Our rings were supposed to be instore today, but they weren't. Was very disappointing to go in and find they weren't in yet.
Got my hair cut and my hairdresser was delighted to hear of my engagement, and when I told her it was a halter-neck dress she suggested an up-do or half up. she offered for me to look at their books sometime, to have a look at styles I might like.
Off to a Halloween party tonight at Jo and Mark's

Went to Doves and Gloves formalwear today to see aobut buying a hoopskirt, but they only hire them. I really want my own, rather than hire it the day before the wedding and have to get it taken back. I also want to be able to wear my dress again sometime. Plus if I hire it from the shop in Richmond, I'd need to hire it several times, each time I went for a fitting.

Nutrimetics makeover party:
Vanessa arrived at my place tonight for our make-over (which I got as part of entering a competition at i-do.com). I'm surprised she didn't get lost more than she did, seeing as she came from closer to the city. She was so nice and cheerful! I was more impressed with her than the Mary Kay lady.
She actually did the makeover as how I would look on the wedding day. And she did if all for me; I didn't have to apply stuff myself, like I had with the Mary Kay one, and this impressed me even more as the last thing I want to do on my wedding day is apply my own make-up and stuff it up from nerves.
