Heard back from Charlene last night, and unfortunately she is unable to be my bridesmaid. She has no troubles with the costs involved, but doesn't feel she'd have enough time to put into the position, and wouldn't like to let me down at the last minute not being able to make it to fittings and the like.
So back to the drawing board again!
Sent my resume to several job search places this morning. Hope I hear back from them soon, and they have some good news.
I'm a bit worried about interviews though. I'm a very quiet person, and don't do too well at them. And I only own one suit, which has short sleeves in the jacket. Ray said he'll buy me another one on the weekend.
Going to start compiling gift registry on Saturday at Peter's of Kensington.

Got a day's work at Grose View school today. A nice year 2 class. Got an interview tomorrow in Parramatta at 8.30 am, so I'm staying at Ray's tonight.

Had my interview this morning.  They said I presented well, and seemed to think I was more confident than I actually felt. But I was the first interview, and they had others to check out. As they didn't call this afternoon, they should get back to me start of next week.
Ray is annoyed with his parents in moving his car and parking it in such a way so it's nearly impossible to get out.

What a day!
We got up early to go to Peter's of Kensington. We were horrified with the place. No marked parking...we drove around the block 3 times trying to spot it, and then had to park several streets away. We walked up to the dingy pink building, and there was a bouncer/security guard on letting people in. Turned out to be employees, as when we went up he just pointed to the times on the door. They didn't open till 9.30!
When most stores in Sydney open at 8 on the weekends, we were couldn't be bothered staying around. We were pissed off enough; how would our guests feel trying to get there?
So we decided to go to Parramatta and do a registry at Target only. Ray got into the wrong lane, and we somehow ended up going across the Harbour bridge to Nth Sydney. So it was the scenic route to Parramatta.
Went into Target. The service counter should be renamed "Returns only"; she had no idea where you register. Found out it was at Lay-bys...but we struck another problem. Although they could start our registry with names and details, the scan guns were playing up and weren't 100%. They didn't want us to start scanning in case they crashed and lost our record.
I was most upset and in a terrible mood. My whole day's plans had gone down the drain, and I felt like we'd wasted a whole day. I ended up crying in the middle of the shopping centre on Ray, which didn't improve my mood.
Ray took me to a park to calm down a bit, and tell me we could do it tomorrow or next weekend. He's such a fantastic guy!
Came home and posted about Peter's of Kensington on the forum. Even Ray put up a message...first time he's volunteered to log onto the site!
He's also agreed to come on the picnic next month, seeing as I wanted to go so much.
We so need a holiday away from things, but can't get away till Easter. I think we'll be going to Canberra, but we haven't booked anything yet.
Attended karoke as usual. Ray spoked to Glen about being a DJ for the reception, and he's going to get back to us with an answer next week. Finger crossed he can do it, as I've hated all the others I've seen around at place.
