Woke up late this morning...movie last night didn't finish till very late! Jo rang to say she couldn't make it as she had forgotten promising her mum to take her to the Penrith markets. Racheal takes ages to get ready in the morning! We left just on time, and hit traffic in Nth Richmond, so we missed the train by 1 minute, if that. Beeped Lavinia's mobile to see if she had got it, and Racheal was prepared to pay for a taxi to Parramatta so we wouldn't waste time. Lavinia called and we told her this, and said we'd meet Suzanne and her out the front of Westfield's. So we caught the taxi. Lavinia rang me back when we had travelled halfway, and informed me that they couldn't make it now as they had to go to Penrith. No reason why. I was fuming! How dare they when Racheal was paying $50 for a taxi so we would be there on time. I figured we might as well continue to Parramatta, as Racheal wanted to see the dress and she may not get to the wedding. Told Racheal the bad news when we arrived, but we were determined to make the best of it. We were puzzled all day though, as to why the other two had ditched us. We had lunch and I paid more off on my dress. Only $360 left. I asked if I could try it on to show Racheal (I meant the sample one, as mine wasn't due till February). I noticed the girl serving me took the dress our of a bag and it had my surname and order number on it. So I asked and found out it was actually *my* dress. It had arrived early (though why they hadn't told me yet, I don't know), and I was putting on the dress I will wear down the aisle. It was so different putting it on, knowing it was mine. Racheal took some photos with her camera and mine of me in the dress, with the shoes on, veil and tiara, and jewellery. I shall have to take those out when I get them developed so Ray doesn't peek before the wedding. I'm not really superstitious about it, I just want the whole look to be a surprise for him. We wandered through Lyncraft, and Lavinia rang again, asking about the almonds you put in bonbonierre. Was she doing wedding stuff with Suzanne and not me? Racheal thinks she has changed a lot since she knew her; seems depressed and very sad according to Racheal. But we couldn't think of anything we could do to help her. Racheal and I parted at the station as she had other people to go visit in the city. |

Packing for holidays today, and washing clothes I need to take. We're going to Newcastle this weekend for my Grandma's 80th and my uncle Graham's 50th birthday bash. After that we go down to Ulladulla with mum, dad, Nana and Margy till the 18th. I love spending time with my family and Raymond. I wonder if I'll be able to get him to come fishing?? So I won't be able to do more on this journal till we get back. |

Well I'm back from my well-deserved holiday break down the South Coast. Had a lovely time relaxing (for about the first day). Ray and I have been thinking about starting up our own small business for a few months, so we were reading up on that. We decided we might do bridal products. So I sat down with pen and paper and started writing hints for future brides. Was interesting writing it, after all the planning I've gone through so far! After 4 days I discovered I had a small book. So we came home two days early to start setting up our business company. We now own SavRay Enterprises Pty Ltd, and have been busily working since Monday on getting our book ready to sell. I got the photos of my wedding dress developed and banned Ray from looking at the developed film till I had take those two out. I won't be able to post them up on the webpage, as Ray would be tempted to look, so if you'd like to see them, send me an e-mail and I'll get them to you. |
