My first Christmas with Raymond. It was a great day! Breakfast was at my aunt Suzie's place; lots of fresh fruit, croissants and champers with orange juice! Lunch was at Ray's sister's place. We managed to keep the kids occupied till about 1pm before they begged to open all the presents. Dinner was at my place. Raymond's presents: undies and boxer shorts from me, a new cross-stitch work for me to do for him of a tiger, the framed dragon cross-stitch which he had been begging for, 2 new shirts from his parents, a diary and inflatable kids chair from Josh (I hope he's not giving us hints!), a screwdriver set from his sister, a 'Red Dwarf' video from my parents and a cd from me. Savanna's presents: diary, 2 Terry Pratchett books and g-strings from Ray; electric toothbrush and Terry Pratchett books from mum and dad; towels from Nana and Margy; recipe books from Grandma; floating candle from Josh; beanbag from Aaron; tablecloth from Ray's parents; utensils from Ray's sister. |

We went shopping today for a laser printer, Publisher 2000 and some earrings. I found some cute pearl and diamante gold earrings at Kleins...who says you need expensive jewellery to look nice at your wedding? Saw a really nice bedroom suite when we were out. Ray said if we get the money, we can buy that one. |

Well here it is. The start of a new year, the year I get married. Only 9 months and a bit to go! We celebrated New Year at Jo and Mark's with the gang from school. Everyone seemed to be going a little overboard with this whole 2000 thing. Especially the TV programs. Lavinia was very snappy last night, to everyone. Wonder what's wrong with her? We came back to Ray's place and had a baked lunch with his family. Getting a bit stressed about the way Lavinia is acting lately. |

We bought our stationery today from Parklea markets in this little shop that sells paper for laser and ink-jet printers, plus envelopes, place cards, hole punches in different shapes. Was so hard choosing, but I decided on a light blue marbled A4 paper with matching envelopes, A5 sheets for RSVPs and place cards. |

Came back home today as Ray works for the rest of this week, and then we go on holidays down the coast! Got such a surprise when I received a phone call from my friend Racheal. She has been living in Canada for the past 4 years and was at Sydney airport, hoping to catch up with some old friends. I offered to let her stay at our place for 2 nights. The news we caught up on....was so much fun! |

Today was the second attempt at Lavinia's make-over. I took Racheal down and we chatted with her and Suzanne, but the girl didn't show. Lavinia tried both her phone numbers and got answering machines on both, which cut off halfway through her message. So she isn't going to use Nutrimetics now. This cause me concern about her turning up for my wedding day. Should I cancel her and try another lady? Found out more information second hand from Suzanne today, about Lavinia's wedding. She went with her when shopping for the veil. Why weren't I asked, seeing as I'm meant to be Chief Bridesmaid? And she has booked another make-up hair trial for when I am on holidays. Another concern is Lavinia informed Suzanne and I that we now have to pay for the BM dresses at her wedding. Where am I going to find that money, especially when she is the one with the full-time job now, when I got out of uni 1 year before her. Took Racheal to see Jo, Mark and David. Arranged to go to Parramatta tomorrow with Jo, Lavinia and Suzanne. |
