My Avon stuff arrived today. I bought some under eyeshadow cream, that is supposed to help keep your eyeshadow on longer, and a new liquid eye shadow. Wonder if Ray will like the colour?
26th November, 1999
Went to Wendy Mallard's retirement dinner tonight. Wore new eyeshadow and Raymond likes it. It's always nice when your man appreciates what you do to look nice!
Think we'll start our Christmas shopping tomorrow. I'm determined to break Raymond out of the habit of buying everything at the last minute!
27th November, 1999
We started our Christmas shopping today. Managed to find gifts for mum and dad, my 2 brothers, my nana and Aunty Margy. Have Ray's parents left to do and his 2 sisters. OOops! Forgot mum, dad and Joshua's birthdays are in December as well. I'll do that next week.
28th November, 1999
Ray and I went for a walk to the other side of the mountain this afternoon. When we got back we found out that my nana had had a heart attack and was in hospital. Aunty Margy will ring us when they find out more.
29th November, 1999
Well Nana's had a heart attack, and has mild damage to her heart. She is also complaining about being confined to bed, mum says.
30th November, 1999
Worked at mum's school today, so we went and visited nana after work. She is looking a lot better, and can't wait to go home.
4th December, 1999
Went Christmas shopping again this morning for mum and dad's birthdays and Ray's parents. I hate shopping at Christmas time when they are crowds about. We set up the tree at Ray's place and decorated it.
5th December, 1999
Robinson family pre-Christmas lunch was today, as my aunt Elizabeth and uncle Helmut can't make it up from Melbourne at Christmas. So we did it early for them. I think Ray was a bit shocked that we actually wear those silly hats from the crackers during the meal and read out the jokes! It's also strange being at family things, as there are now two Ray's; my dad and my fiance. Can be a bit confusing at times.
7th December, 1999
Lavinia came over today to update her resume, as she hasn't got a computer. Showed her the webpage, and she thought it was good. After lunch, we sat down and discussed our weddings whilst doing some cross-stitch and tapestry. Was nice to have some time alone with my best friend (apart from Raymond).
8th December, 1999
Went to Spotlight today to get threads to finish off my current cross-stitch work. It is an eagle and I ran out of two colours with only a little bit of each left to do. Very annoying.
Had a look at wedding samplers there, but there were none I was that keen on...nothing as nice ad the Apache blessing I've done for Lavinia.
9th December, 1999
Ray isn't coming over tonight, but I guess I can't complain too much. He is doing his Christmas shopping for me. I only hope he doesn't spend too much and go overboard!
