Michelle came over this morning to try on the dress. It fits her well, only needs a few adjustments, which her mother is going to do. She bought some silver shoes to wear with the dress.

23rd July, 2000

Had lunch at Anita's today so we could see how the dress fitted her. Perfect fit! Pinned the hem up and marked where the straps need to be attached.
Anita sure makes a delicious lasagna!!!

12th August, 2000

Looked at a house for sale in Marsden Park today.  It was far too small; was a converted garage from the 50's.

26th August, 2000

Had my first dress fitting today. Anita and mum came along. Felt strange standing there in theis big dress.
We took one layer off my hoopskirt, as it just didn't sit right. Here I was with dress lifted up, and mum and Anita attacking the first layer of tulle. There's also tulle in the dress, which I hadn't noticed before.
Ray ordered us a new computer today, as we're sick of the current one being so SLOW

31st August, 2000

Got a message from the club today that they have changed function co-ordinators and the new one can't make sense of the notes left about our wedding. I rang her up and she wants to meet Ray and myself and to bring in the signed agreement and confirm the price.
She seemed confused about prices, so we'll watchingout so that she doesn't overcharge us!

Shower tea
Been preparing food since last night for my shower tea.  We got our new computer last night and Ray has been playing around with it today.
It was a bit of disappointment, in the none of my friends from high school came along. There were mainly relatives with the exception of Anita and Allison from karoke. This made some of our plans go out the window, and meant we had way too much food left over at the end!
I received some lovely shower gifts though, including a recipe stand, mug tree, washing baskets and powder, draining rack, scales, serviette holders, gardening tools, etc.

I've managed to catch the flu! Just what I need to end the term with

7th September, 2000

One month to go!!!
We met with Deacon Bob tonight, and he approved our ceremony.  Ray got a bit uncomfortable though when he started talking about getting back into a regular routine of going to church when we're married...and Ray going to his own church.  He's not too comfortable with religion ;-)
