10 Jun 1998 - MID-LIFE Crisis
If gender can be classified as a disorder, then really life itself must be a disorder. During my exploration I found many issues that are gender related - intersexuality, testicular feminization, nn,XY, and so on. What really struck me is that out of all the gender variables only one is labelled as a mental disorder, transsexuality, and strongly biased against males. Why?
I have read claims that say the gender identity causes distress and affects some people's ability to function. Okay, but that is true of everything. If gender identity were the cause, everyone dealing with gender identity should have dysfunction and extreme stress. But, this does not seem to be case. My impression is that the stress and dysfunction comes from society's poor treatment of the person because of their gender expression and not by the expression itself.
I kind of thought about my life and wondered if there were other areas that could have disorders created for them. Maybe I should develop my own DSM (Dysfunctional and Silly Manual of Mental Disorders). (Please note this is a spoof and in no way reflects my true desires or actions while attempting to grow up)
Based on a reflection of the diagnostic symptoms that compounded the normal development of the socio-domestic personalities of my individual, I conclude that I suffer from acute MID-LIFE crisis.

The symptoms of a person experiencing this disorder include: - Guilt
