21 Sep 1998 - New Project, Expanding Horizons
Time to think about some positive things, about those areas I am actually happy about. In addition to feeling very connected emotionally to my son, Evan, I really am almost addicted to him. I do not seem feel my day is complete unless I have spent some time with him. Watching him grow, learn, play, expand his ability to communicate with me is very special to me and I hate missing any moments he has. His enthusiasm is a bit contagious as well. As we have explored I have been able to rekindle some of my spirits and interests, one of those being my photography. Now that he has become comfortable with me toting my camera around, I have been able to capture his moments, his moods on film. Hopefully, this will carry-over into other areas as well.
I have also submitted my nomination to be the Newsletter Editor of the local TG club, NWGA (Northwest Gender Alliance), see my Web Resources pages. I fretted abit about being able to maintain its level of quality, about being good enough. After some very encouraging support from my friends I took the step. I wanted the opportunity to give something back, to be a part of the community. I am very excited about the possibility and look forward to bringing some of my ideas to the position. One of the thoughts I have had is to be a provider of information and contact. I would like to see the community's connection grow. One of those ways is to connect the non-web and web-based communities. To interchange information and resources. To be somewhat of a hub or filter, who knows?
As those that have regularly visited my site, I tend to make on-going changes fairly regularly. This has been a very good creative outlet for me, plus to receive some of the wonderful comments helps, too, thank you everyone.
Looking forward to my next get-together, whether with a group or individually. I feel so disconnected, even with access to the internet, I feel so much more connected visiting in person, face-to-face.
My friend, Kim, (see my Friends links at my Web Resources page) has added me to her friends link page, thank you Kim. Once I get my photo software, I will be sending her a picture plus of course, adding some pictures to my site. Soon, very soon ...
