Remember to hit reload every day or else the new card may not load!
Not all of the old Card of the Day files are working right now. All of the old files should be running within one month. About 70-85% are working now. Sorry for the delays getting new cards done too. Things are getting back to normal rather well.
In this web page, I hope to present to you strategies, combos, and obscure uses for a new
Magic: The Gathering card every single day.
The Card of the Day is...
Chaos Harlequin
Alliances Rare
2RR Summon Harlequin
2/4
"R: Remove the top card of your library from the game. If that card is a land, Chaos Harlequin gets -4/-0 until end of turn; otherwise, Chaos Harlequin gets +2/+0 until end of turn."
A brief rundown of the card:
Wheee! Let's spin the wheel and hope for non-lands! Joker, JOKer, Cathedral of Serra!. BZZZZZ. Here's a nice consolation prize of some used Telim Tor's Darts. This whacky Alliances rare can be a rather nasty clown...in the right deck. For some reason land scares him...maybe a twisted reward for traumatizing so many young children in the Twilight Zone. If you dare to roll the dice (so to speak) and play with the beloved Chaos Harlequin, here are some guidelines to help keep land from coming up:
- Mana Severance
If you have courage, you can try easily removing all land from your deck with the chancy Mana Severance. It's really cheap and easy to use--for just 1U, you can hurl all land in your deck away for good. Pump the clown up as much as needed with his "double Firebreathing" ability.
- Sylvan Library
This is a fairly good means of rearranging the top few cards of your library however you wish. Sylvan Library is one of the cheapest ways to consistantly know what cards are coming up for the next few turns. If you're more interested in knowing about many cards but don't mind the cost, try:
- Scroll Rack
Scroll Rack is kinda like a beefy Sylvan Library. For a small donation of mana, you can keep rearranging the top of your library around to your heart's content.
- Dwarven Soldier/Tawnos' Wand...
Don't forget that the kooky clown's power is 2 before you start feeding him cards. No better time to make him unblockable.
