"If you control any creature with toughness 2 or less, sacrifice Endangered Armodon."
A brief rundown of the card:
Duh! Just do everything in your power to not have creatures with a toughness less than 3. That's not too hard--think of all the choice cheapies green has that has a toughness of 3+. This elephant might well become the next Erhnam Djinn. It's not too risky to use, really. Here are some cards that fit in well with a deck full of Endangered Armodons:
- Parapet/Castle/Arcades Sabboth...
These cards pump up all of your creature's toughness (some more cost effective than others). With but one Castle or Arcades Sabboth, unless your opponent meddles with your creatures you can't have a creature with a toughness less than 3!
- Spectral Bears
This is another one of those few Homelands cards that saw quite a bit of daylight. Who cares if your opponent isn't using black? It sure is nice if they are, but a 3/3 creature that can only attack every other turn is still a steal for only 1G.
- Llanowar Sentinel
This is another fine example of a solid cheap green creature. The strange ability this card has warrants an extra glance while looking to fit in with Endangered Armodon--that little card advantage you can gain over your opponent from using Llanowar Sentinel combined with the awesome power of this elephant can make a nasty quick green deck.
- Rouge Elephants
One of the all time favorite green quick creatures. Rouge Elephant can give you just enough of a quick offensive/defensive edge to easily bring out a big creature like Endangered Armodon a little later instead of worrying about Disenchanting this or Desert Twistering that.
- Elephant Graveyard
Endangered Armodon is yet another "summon elephant" that can be regenerated for the mere cost of tapping this land.
