Remember to hit reload every day or else the new card may not load!

I plan on sorting the old Card of the Day files by alpha within color soon. To specify what pages are new (sometimes I do more than one within 24 hours), I plan to put some kind of marker besides files updated within one week or so. This date thing has some good points, but I'm starting to think there are more bad points. Chris.

In this web page, I hope to present to you strategies, combos, and obscure uses for a new Magic: The Gathering card every single day.

The Card of the Day is...

Phyrexian Hulk

Tempest Uncommon
6 Artifact Creature

5/4

Yup, Phyrexian Hulk is just a plain 5/4 creature. Nothing fancy, no special abilities. Instead of blindly labeling this card as "nothing special", how about we compare Phyrexian Hulk's power/toughness to casting cast ratio to some other comparable cards. Fire Elemental was pulled from 5th Edition for being "too powerfull". Generally speaking, a creature that costs 6 colorless is usually easier to cast than something costing 3 generic and 2 colored. Apes of Rath is usually only effective every other turn, and Spined Wurm doesn't fit into every deck. In this light, I feel Phyrexian Hulk is an adequately priced heavy that can fit into most decks. If you ever get a Phyrexian Hulk in a sealed/limited enviroment, I strongly recommend using it--it is quite handy. There are plenty of silly combos to pull off with any old artifact creature, yet some tend to work just a little better than others with Phyrexian Hulk. Here are some ideas to consider.
