Check out my handy-dandy archive list organizer! You can find this table at the top of the list that is sorted by color, and at the very bottom of the page. The color list is cleaned up fairly well, and partially alphabetized already. As far as I know, there aren't any bugs, but I haven't tested every aspect yet. I also have the list sorted by date just where it was before. I plan on keeping it for ever in addition to the nice color/alpha sorted lists. I disposed of all temporary dead links for a little whlie. I marked files on the color list that have been updated within a week with the words NEW!. Chris
In this web page, I hope to present to you strategies, combos, and obscure uses for a new
Magic: The Gathering card every single day.
The Card of the Day is...
Winter's Grasp
Tempest Uncommon
1GG Sorcery
"Destroy target land."
What is so special about green land destruction? Green is by far the best color for long-lasting fast mana. With all those mana elves and similar green spells, starting up land destruction on the second turn in any type of tournament play isn't too hard in an all green deck (if not first turn in type 1). Along with Ice Storm, Thermokarst, Creeping Mold, Desert Twister and others, you can easily put however many green land destruction spells in your deck you'll need. Black and red are no longer the only colors to use for targeted land destruction. Land destruction of all types have quite a few combos that work well, here are some of my favorites:
Black Vise
Seeing as some land destruction will make it kinda hard for your opponent to get spells out of their hand, Black Vise is an excellent addition. Far too many times, I've seen this card win games all by itself against opponents that only get a mediocre draw.
Braingeyser+Wheel of Fortune
Filling up your opponent's hand with cards only to force them to throw them all away to draw seven more is a neat trick with Braingeyser and Wheel of Fortune. Adding land destruction to your deck will help make sure your opponent can't pull off any miracles once you fill up their hand for a moment or two.
Dingus Egg
A no-brainer that must be mentioned in any case. Every time a land goes to the graveyard from play, the controller of that land takes two damage from Dingus Egg. Dingus Egg was once restricted because combining land destruction and damage easily was too powerfull. Against quite a few decks, it still is a nasty combo.
Birds of Paradice/Sol Ring/Llanowar Elves/Mox Emerald...
All of these cheap mana producers and many more allow you to start blowing up land with your three and four casting cost green spells. I've found getting a very quick start in destroying lands is key to winning.

A whopping people have visited this web page!
I would like to thank the following people for helping me out by sending me some of my lost files. These people all helped motivate me into continuing the Card of the Day. The site is under some construction, some of the archived cards don't work yet. Sorry. Read story below Card of Day review for more info (and maybe you can help too.)
