Remember to hit reload every day or else the new card may not load!

Check out my handy-dandy archive list organizer! You can find this table at the top of the list that is sorted by color, and at the very bottom of the page.

BLACK BLUE GREEN RED WHITE ARTIFACT GOLD LAND

Due to an unexpected limitation in the amount of files that can be stored in a given directory at Geocities, all of my links to old cards of the day can only be accessed through this main page. I had plenty of extra work to do as soon as I found this "glitch". If any of the links on the list sorted by color aren't working, let me know. Chris

In this web page, I hope to present to you strategies, combos, and obscure uses for a new Magic: The Gathering card every single day.

The Card of the Day is...

Mind Stone

Weatherlight Common
2 Artifact

T: Add one colorless mana to your mana pool. Play this ability as a mana source.
1, T, Sacrifice Mind Stone: Draw a card.

This is a neat little card. Mindstone is usually about as effective at generating extra mana as Fellwar Stone. Fellwar Stone costs the same and gives you a potentially colored mana, yet you can only get any type of mana your opponent can produce making it a trite unreliable for anything but generic mana (and that's fine). Mind Stone will usually work just as good for you allowing an extra generic mana to be available for you every turn. These neat and cheap artifacts that produce extra mana for you tend to become useless in the game. Once you have 8 or 9 land out, you probably won't need an extra generic mana---that's where Mind Stone shines. You can sacrifice Mind Stone to have it "replace" itself by letting you draw a card. Not bad at all. I use Mind Stone and Fellwar Stone in many of my non-green decks that need a mild mana booster (green has better things to use for extra mana than these artifacts). Here are some examples of cards that can really cripple an opponent if they're used a turn sooner than normal with the help of some extra mana from Mind Stone:
