In this web page, I hope to present to you strategies, combos, and obscure uses for a new Magic: The Gathering card every single day.

The Card of the Day is...

Timmerian Fiends

1BB Summon Fiends

1/1
"Remove Timmerian Fiends from your deck before playing if not playing for ante.
BBB: Sacrifice Timmerian Fiends to bury target artifact that any opponent owns in your graveyard. Put Timmerian Fiends into that opponent's graveyard. This change in ownership is permanent. The opponent may ante an additional card to counter this effect."

This is the first ante card I've ever reviewed. I'd possibly do more if I ever played for ante with real cards, but I don't. I like the idea of ante with online decks, or at sealed decks. Against the official computer game, I've used Rebirth and Contract from Below quite a few times (Contract from Below ROCKS!). Those two ante spells aren't for cleaning out an opponent of prize possessions though, they're more for saving your but at the possible cost of loosing an extra ante card. Timmerian Fiends is the last ante card printed if I remember right, and what an odd one it is indeed. You can take home an opponent's artifact in play if you get to sacrifice the fiends. Great for type 1 play, where there are many artifacts worth trading in a silly Timmerian Fiends. Oh, there's combos for even this card alright...the first one should only be used if you are well armed or if you are much larger than your opponent:
